2009 was a thrilling and fun year at Bramanor Corgis -
We had the honor of finishing 2 more AKC Champions in 2009, exclusively owner handled.
It turned out to be the year of the girls, and it all began very excitingly, when at the first show of the year Posey aka Ch. Craigycor Strike A Pose won Winners Bitch taking a major win at the prestigious Palm Springs Kennel Club show in January.
Our year finished with a thrilling win from Amy aka Ch. Craigycor Irish Colleen who won Winners Bitch for a
4-point major in California to complete her American Championship and give us our 2nd AKC Champion
for the year.
We gained multiple Best of Breed wins throughout the year and I am proud to say with 3 different corgis -
Am Ch. Craigycor Ralph, Am. & Ir. Ch. Craigycor Mr. Bo Jangles, and Am Ch. Craigycor Strike A Pose all
captured the top spot in the breed ring.
Ben aka Am. & Ir. Ch Craigycor Mr. Bo Jangles helped me fulfill a dream of mine, when we both travelled back to the
UK in March 2009 where I had the honor of showing him at Crufts.
Pembroke Welsh Corgis are fun loving, intelligent, little dogs.
They make excellent family pets as well as excelling in the show
ring, and at performance events such as obedience, agility, herding
and tracking. They are sensitive dogs and are easily trained with gentle,
handling without severe physical correction. They are healthy, and
long lived dogs making excellent companions for urban or rural families.
ideal Corgi Standard
We anticipate fewer shows in 2010 as we will be focusing on
our breeding program, and we hope our Champion girls will
become new Moms. We are looking forward to the next generation
of Bramanor Corgis who hopefully will make their show debuts
in the latter part of the year.
